New Delhi, February 24, 2011. With reference to the news item published in the Times of India dated 24.02.2011 with the caption "GAIL to pay Rs. 738 cr to settle RIL dispute". In this regard, we would like to clarify that the matter is in arbitration before a Tribunal of three Hon’ble Ex-Chief Justices of India. Hence at this stage, it would be factually incorrect to assign any liability on GAIL in this matter.
