GAIL Supports Hunger Free Delhi Campaign – Aap ki Rasoi

New Delhi, February 25, 2010:- GAIL (India) Limited has supported the Hunger Free Delhi Campaign – Aap ki Rasoi, a Delhi Government programme under the Bhagidari initiative. Shri S L Raina, Director (HR), GAIL (India) Limited handed over the keys of three Food Delivery vehicles to Smt Sheila Dikshit, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Delhi in a function held at Delhi Secretariat today. This programme is run by ISKCON Food Relief Foundation. GAIL has also been supporting this programme in the past.

GAIL's CSR programme, taken up at almost all the 36 work centres and zonal offices located across the country are focused at development and empowerment of the rural populace around its major work centres and installations. GAIL has provisioned 2% of the previous year's net profit (PAT) of the Company as CSR resources for its annual planning for the year 2009-10. In the last financial year GAIL undertook programmes for nearly Rs. 23 crores in the seven Thrust Areas identified by the company namely – Community Development, Educational aids, Healthcare and Medical, Infrastructure Development, Drinking Water & Sanitation and Literacy Enhancement & Empowerment
