Introduction
GAIL has temporary Short Term Surplus Funds, which it places in short term deposits with approved banks from time to time. Such deposits are invested for less than one year as per DPE guidelines. For this purpose, there is a panel of approved banks, which has been approved by the GAIL Board. Only these approved Banks can bid for the placement of funds by GAIL, through their authorized branch officials.
